Championing Ambition: Malloch McClean Supports Freddie Bennet's Arctic Ultramarathon Quest
We love to help people achieve great things—whether they be business owners or athletes. Supporting ambitious Kiwis to reach their goals is the Malloch McClean mission, and there are many different ways we can do it.
Freddie Bennet is a Guinness World Record Holder, speaker, author and ultra-marathon runner who’s always got his eyes on the next impressive and audacious challenge. His most recent goal, to prove that everyday Kiwis can achieve remarkable things, was to complete the 230 km, self-supported Ice Ultramarathon earlier this month—and he’s done it!
It’s billed as the “toughest, coldest, and windiest” running event on the footrace on the planet! The official website says it all:
“This is not a race to be taken lightly. The full distance covers over 12,000 feet of elevation through all the weather conditions the Arctic can throw at you. You have biting cold, sometimes lower than -50 degrees celsius, big elevation and a big distance to cover… “
It has been a privilege to make a contribution towards this incredible achievement, and we have had a great time following along. To even finish this race is mindblowing, and Freddie came in at number 14. A huge feat!
